劇場版Bleach地獄篇

Mayo-chan went to watch 劇場版Bleach地獄篇 in Hiroshima on last Friday ^^ as said on facebook.

The cinema Mayo went is called wald11, well, a pretty standard cinema. The movie ticket is 1800¥ for adults, and 1500¥ for students. Of course, Mayo is half adult half student, so needs to pay 1800¥ (tears).

However, showing Japanese made anime move on screen is one of the special thing about Japan's cinema, which Mayo has long wanted to experience once. Nevertheless, a Bleach Official Invitation Book - The Hell Verse is given as a free gift to compensate for the pricy ticket.

Overall Mayo would give it a 7 out of 10 for the following reasons:
1. Fresh & interesting story line
2. Great design & personality for the final boss (thumbs down for the minions)
3. Ichigo's 4th transformation! Yes, the fourth form after the full hollowfication! Limited only to The Hell Verse.

A lovely double-sided poster can be found on the first page:

This page describes Ichigo's stage of transformation:

1st: Human to shinigami
2nd: to Hollowfication
3rd: to Full Hollowfication
4th: ??

and Bleach's history from 2001 - 2010:

the Forbidden Gate (shown as the Hell's Gate in the movie) which inside contains spoiler from the movie.

Also, the book came with a little animation, which you need to flip the pages to get it animated:

For the sake of Mayo.com's reader, Mayo has specially made a short clip to animate the pictures in the book, enjoy =)

Japanese Snacks...POCKY!

Mayo Lovvvves Japanese Snacks, especially Pocky! Today Mayo is proud to show off Mayo's looks-tasty-and-delicious collections.

Pocky is a famous snack produced by Glico Company of Japan, first sold in the year 1966, earlier before most of us were born!

The thin biscuit stick topped with chocolate were named as Pocky due to the sound produced when bitten, pokkin ~~~ (ポッキン).

(Japanese has an interesting manner of defining a word for every sound they heard)

Pocky's CM

Mayo has eaten most of them and left only the box (・_・;)
Which one of these have you tried before?

Super Thin Pocky (Click here for CM)

Chocolate on Chocolate

The ancestors of Pocky variations,
Strawberry Pocky & Almond Pocky

Bite size chocolate by Lotte & Meiji

Baby Bamboo Choc.

Meiji is yet another popular Japanese Snack Company, named after a period in Japan history which represents the first half of the Empire of Japan - Meiji era (明治時代).

And they have their own version of Pocky, which is thicker in comparison.
Mayo's favourite is the Green Tea Flavoured Fran Creamy Mousse

Mayo just bought these few days ago and is the most expensive ones compared to previous shown. And with no second though, Mayo shouted 「Oishii~!」

There are many variations produced for the same commercial, Mayo-chan wonders if it's a special trend for CM in Japan?

今夜良い感じ Mayo got a Feeling 2nite

Tonight..........No Anime.
Tonight..........Not Working.
Tonight..........★Party Night★

Mayo-chan wants to sing “I Got A feeling♪~呜~呜~。。。”

Photobucket

It's a fantastic night for Mayo, although Mayo is still very young in the heart, but Mayo had a chance to share with Japanese 男(otoko) of how they enjoy after-work life =)

Tonight Mayo and some of his collegue went to a 居酒屋(Izakaya) called 和楽(waraku) to organize a Welcome Party for Fujiwara-san. The cost is ¥3000/person for all-you-can-eat-and-drink but Mayo has to pay only ¥1000 (ありがとうね ほんどさん^^)

Photobucket

Sitting to left of Mayo is Oishi-san, (*note: Oishi typically means "delicious" or "yummy") but in his case, his family name is 大石(o-ishi) And he is really, really an interesting and funny guy. To the right is the party 'boy', Fujiwara-san, which just transfered from Tokyo, and speaks quite politely to me.

Photobucket

And behold, the King of Party - Partyoism Honda-san. I think his famous quote is "Just enjoy life!"

He earned the title Partyoism from his Aussie friends due to his craze for parties.(Thumbs up)

Photobucket

(Tries to hoard the camera but got shoo-ed by Fujiwara-san)

Photobucket

You can guess how big Mayo's tummy gotten into after the following Om-Nom-Noms:

Mayo is 'a little bit' drunk in the end, but still able to find his way back home safely (・_・;)

According to Hondo-san, it is not legal to ride a bicycle even you have little alcoholic drink.

And he added "Who cares"
